Description
WEBINAR PROGRAM
Introduction to Chronic Pain of the Upper Extremities
In this webinar, Rich and Dan will give you solid strategies that will work consistently for some of the toughest conditions to treat without acupuncture for overuse injuries in the upper extremity which can be some of the most chronic and debilitating injuries for people. This holds especially true for those who play sport or hold a job that requires repetitive movement that may cause strain injuries to the elbow, wrist and fingers. Motor Point Acupuncture makes many of these issues melt away in very few sessions.
For many chronic issues people tend to seek more invasive treatments/surgical interventions for injuries that generally respond very well and often very quickly to motor point acupuncture.
Patients feel the relief in minutes.
When a joint or tendon in the elbow or wrist is causing pain it’s most likely due to muscle shortening in groups of muscles that flex or extend the wrist fingers or elbow. Unlike most injuries, the forearm can be assessed based on palpation, symptoms and an understanding of the actions and anatomy of the muscles which will be covered in this webinar.
Dan will be demonstrating some Neurofunctional approaches that stimulate the musculocutaneous nerve or the radial nerve septum using the pointer plus for certain conditions. Making sure you develop the skills and knowledge to nail Motor Point treatment consistently and reliably time after time again for this focus area, so that patients will feel comfortable and confident sharing their results with colleagues and strangers to refer to your practice,
People of all ages can get these repetitive stress injuries from students to those who work long hours at a desk to tradesmen, and the symptoms, anatomy, palpation and explanation of the following injuries (below) will be covered by Rich and Dan through theory and demonstration of needling technique.
The following dysfunctions will be covered:
- Tennis elbow
- Golfers elbow
- Triceps for the tennis and golfers
- Olecranon pain or bursitis
- Biceps tendonitis or injury coracobrachialis
- Musculocutaneous nerve (Neurofunctional)
- De quervains tenosynovitis
- Trigger finger strategy
- Cubital tunnel
- Carpal tunnel
- Radial nerve septum (Neurofunctional)
