Applying Facial Diagnosis to Identify the Root of Disease Patterns Recording

Event recorded on 7th May 2023.

Presenting CT Holman, author of Treating Emotional Trauma with Chinese Medicine: Integrated Diagnostic and Treatment Strategies

Course Description

Facial features, colors, and markings provide a blueprint of the emotional and physical state of the body. Ancient Chinese facial diagnosis gives insight into a personā€™s constitution, their emotional tendencies, their disease patterns, and their belief systems.

CT Holman teaches the Lillian Pearl Bridges Facial Diagnosis lineage.Ā In this applied facial diagnostic course, CT explains how to detect the state of each organ system and a patientā€™s personality by reading the various colors and features on the face. By understanding the balance of the five elements seen on the face, a thorough diagnosis is achieved. CT will show many patient pictures and discuss case studies to bring the diagnostic information to life.

Upon completing the course, participants will be able to apply this knowledge in their clinic.

Learning objectives:

  • Understand how the facial features of the face relate to the five elements and how to apply this knowledge in crafting acupuncture point prescriptions.
  • Use the colors seen on the face to create acupuncture prescriptions.
  • Learn point prescriptions for treating the various emotional, behavioral, and physical imbalances identified on the face.

Outline:

  • Hour 1: Discuss the organ map of the face and explain which features relate to each organ. Discuss the various colors seen on the face and how they determine pathophysiology.
  • Hour 2: Discuss the emotional map in detail and how the various lines give clues into which organ spirits are affected. Provide acupuncture point prescriptions based on the lines seen on the face. Explain the difference between the left and right side of the face. Explain how to read the true nature of a person and help them understand their authentic spirit.
  • Hour 3: Discuss the three zones of the face and how to utilize this information to best communicate with patients and improve patient interactions. Discuss Peach Luck and how it helps diagnose the state of a personā€™s spirit. Explain how to differentiate the state of the organ spirits and understand the health of a personā€™s spirit.
  • Hour 4: Present several case studies of diagnosing and treating patients based on facial diagnosis. Provide several acupuncture prescriptions based on facial diagnostic findings.
