About Michael Weir

Michael has broad professional experience as a solicitor in private legal practice in commercial & property law.
In his academic career which commenced in 1990 Michael has published extensively on Complementary Medicine and the Law . He is a co- author of the textbook ‘Real Property Law in Queensland,’ LBC (4th edition, 2010).

Michael has a research interest in Medicine and the Law with a focus on complementary and alternative medicine and law and ethics. This interest is reflected in the textbook Law and Ethics in Complementary Medicine Allen and Unwin (4th edition 2011).

Michael is currently Associate Dean (Research) of the Law Faculty; Member of the Public Panel of Assessors under the Health Ombudsman.
