Auricular medicine is a stand-alone treatment accessing the brain via cranial nerves to restore functionality. It is sometimes referred to simplistically as ear acupuncture.
The relationship between our face expressions, muscles, meridians, and inner environment is referred to as the anatomy of expression. Our faces are unique in their ability to radiate shen, reveal our emotions, desires, and intentions, and provide a window into our overall health. As acupuncturists, we have the expertise to use the face as a diagnostic and treatment tool for underlying issues that may eventually lead to disease. This course will teach students how to treat facial expression lines with specialized treatment protocols based on the usage of facial motor points.
