If you’ve taken a Motor Point Acupuncture seminar with Richard, please note that the intro lecture in 2018 was very different and filled with important information that you likely haven’t learned from any other MPA seminar anywhere.
This workshop is an Australian FIRST to offer treatment protocols from Dan who is the Acupuncturist for the Buffalo Bills NFL Team, for Musculoskeletal dysfunctions and how to quickly diagnose and effectively treat in this specialty area.
Practitioners who have previously done Rich and Dan’s Motorpoint course (with proof of completion with Certificate or prior attendance) will be able to attend the 1 day Advanced- completion of fundamentals are a prerequisite to registration in the Advanced course, as needling techniques will be much more advanced.
So who is this workshop for? This workshop is for qualified practitioners who are focused on treating acute or chronic pains and who work with professional or amateur athletes that would like to increase their performance and get reliable and measurable results!
Motor Point Acupuncture is highly effective and can produce fast and lasting results in the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions. Proper assessment for the hip and lower leg is essential when treating athletes. Poor ankle mobility, proprioception and stability impacts the entire body. Poor hip mobility and stability also impacts the entire body. Poor breathing mechanics impact the entire body.
This seminar and workshop will assume some knowledge of anatomy so that we can get further into the actions of the muscles.
In addition, we are thrilled to have Dan Dominguez teach a full day of his favorite protocols using electric stimulation acupuncture he uses in the NFL when he treats the Buffalo Bills for their have acute injuries.

Rich Hazel uses a unique style of acupuncture that relies heavily on knowledge of neurology and sports medicine. He was one of very few people to learn Motor Point Acupuncture at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York where he completed his Master of Science in Acupuncture, Orthopedic & Sports Medicine. Rich has also studied Neurofunctional Acupuncture and Exstore Functional Muscle Assessment with some of the best orthopedic acupuncturists in North America and spent years studying trigger points and the treatment of myofascial pain from the works of Dr. Janet Travell and Dr. C Chan Gunn.
His unique style allows Rich to get excellent results for sports injuries, sports mobility and performance, and acute and chronic pain of all kinds. He now teaches this unique style of acupuncture to other acupuncturists in the US and abroad and is on the faculty at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York.
Dan Dominguez is a distinctive force of nature for Buffalo’s orthopedic and athletic scene. A long history and devotion to sports medicine has helped Dan hone his craft of acupuncture and motor point therapy and provide the most specialized care for his professional and amateur athletes.
At BOSA, Dan uses his own methodology and approach towards orthopedic conditions calling on his expertise in neurofunctional acupuncture, trigger point therapy, dry needling, and distal acupuncture to create dynamic, effective treatment plans for his patients. He proudly serves the Buffalo Bills, as well as many of Buffalo’s local and visiting athletes.
