Webinar Description

Children and teenagers experiences anxiety and depression in a different ways and it is up to us to be able to identify those nuances to provide the best treatment. As Xu Dachun puts it, ‘Illnesses may be identical but the people who have them are different’.

The rates of anxiety and depression amongst children and teenagers have been increasing exponentially over the past few years. These disorders had become even more prevalent during the COVID-19 era, so it is essential that we are ready to help them at a moment’s notice.  The way we handle mental healthcare treatments with children and adolescents, as allied health practitioner should take a more delicate and sensitive approach that certainly requires further training to develop the appropriate tools and right knowledge.

Acupuncture has been found to be extremely effective towards treating anxiety and depression, and when applied correctly it is a well-tolerated and enjoyable therapeutic modality for children that can help turn their lives around without the need for medication, this is on the proviso that the rationale and techniques used are appropriate for the child

This simple-to-follow 4 hour webinar will be able to supply you the confidence to help the many children and teenagers out there who will need support through their formative years. This is a course is a must if you are considering moving into this highly specialised area of clinical practice, practicing within scope or perhaps even just seeking to expand your skills and knowledge
