DAY 1 – Comprehensive Pain Management with Tung’s Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine Part I

In Part I of this course, Dr. McCann shares the best Master Tung acupuncture points for pain conditions and injury management that yield immediate results for the upper body. Detailed descriptions of Master Tung’s point locations, functions, and indications will be covered in this course as well as effective Chinese herbal medicine used for pain relief.

Topics covered in this course include:

  • Core theory of Tung Acupuncture including holographic correspondence, channel correspondence, and tissue correspondence
  • Chinese herbal medicine for the treatment of pain and injury
  • Treatment of pain and injury based on Three Stage Theory
  • Treatment of pain and injury based on disease location – head and upper extremities

Upon completion of this course, practitioners will:

  • Know how to apply Master Tung’s theory and point selection for pain disorders in the upper body
  • Understand clinical applications for all pain related problems in the upper body
  • Be able to correctly choose and apply points for pain related issue of the upper body

DAY 2 – Comprehensive Pain Management with Tung’s Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine Part II

In Part II of this course, Dr. McCann shares the best Master Tung acupuncture points for pain conditions and injury management that yield immediate results for the lower body. Detailed descriptions of Master Tung’s point locations, functions, and indications will be covered in this course as well as effective Chinese herbal medicine used for pain relief.

Topics covered in this course include treatment of pain and injury based on disease location:

  • Chest
  • Abdomen
  • Back
  • Lower Extremities

Upon completion of this course, practitioners will:

  • Know how to apply Master Tung’s theory and point selection for pain disorders in the lower body
  • Understand clinical applications for all pain related problems in the lower body
  • Be able to correctly choose and apply points for pain related issue of the lower body

DAY 3 – Bloodletting Therapy

Bloodletting therapy, which works to remove internal and external disruptions to the system through the withdrawal of small quantities of blood, has numerous benefits, especially concerning the treatment of complex or chronic disease. Master Tung’s bleeding technique is a specialised approach that can yield dramatically effective results when the patient’s condition has been properly diagnosed and the therapeutic technique is correctly performed.

In this course, Dr. McCann shares the theory and functions of bloodletting and provides detailed instructions on its clinical uses. In addition, he will clarify the fundamental Chinese medical theory related to blood and the network vessels, and provide an in-depth discussion on the benefits of, and practice guidelines, for bloodletting.

Upon completion of this course, practitioners will:

  • Know proper bloodletting technique according to the Clean Needle Technique
  • Know bloodletting zones of the leg
  • Know bloodletting zones of front and back
  • Know why and when to blood let and its correct technique
