Testimonial

“I left this seminar with an excellent understanding and more confidence on how to treat conditions involving the head, neck and upper body. Motor point acupuncture has been game-changing and I strongly believe its a must-learn technique for all practitioners of musculoskeletal pain out there.”

Course Overview

Practitioners of motor point acupuncture recognise that most pain is just a symptom of dysfunctional movement patterns or postural issues.

By finding the dysfunction and treating muscle inhibition we can restore mobility, joint range of motion and blood circulation which will decrease pain and inflammation in very few sessions.

This course focuses on motor points for the head, jaw, neck, shoulder, and upper extremities, which can be notorious to needle, given that contraindications and appropriate needling techniques need to be applied to an area that has many major arteries, plus deep needling of certain rotator cuff muscles and muscles around the ribs need to be safely but still efficaciously completed in order to avoid significant bruising/and or injury.

This will all be covered within this course. This course is ONLY the Motorpoint Component (Day 1-3) and does not encompass the Trigger Point component (Day 4) of the course. To Purchase the FULL course including trigger point needling (Day 4), Please click here.

It is a counterpart to the Intensive Sports Acupuncture: Lower Extremity Assessment and Treatment Strategies (Foundations) course recorded in 2022. To view content on the lumbopelvic hip complex, and the lower extremities, please click here.

Motor Point Acupuncture is highly effective and can produce fast and lasting results in the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions. This course is for qualified practitioners who are focused on treating acute or chronic pains and who work with professional or amateur athletes that would like to increase their performance and get reliable and measurable results!

This course will assume some knowledge of anatomy and theory behind motor point acupuncture. It is highly recommend to view A Beginner’s Guide to Motor Point Acupuncture with Rich Hazel before taking this course. That course can be found here.

Content includes theory of muscle functions, motor point locations, manual muscle tests, length tests, and protocols.
