An area of concern for a large portion of the general public is the increasing prevalence of digestive disorders like: reflux; gastric ulcer; IBS; Crohn’s; diverticulitis; bowel cancer; etc. Chinese medicine has a long history of treating digestive disorders (think Li Dong Yuan of the “Spleen/Stomach” school), and so this is another area that we should be confident in helping patients with.
While Tung acupuncture is most recognised for its great results with pain, it is also used extensively for the treatment of internal conditions. Brad Whisnant spent a whole day and a half of his 4 Day Tung Points Intensive going through Tung internal medicine where he identified some of the most useful point combinations for internal conditions such as digestive disorders.
