Neuropuncture is a ground-breaking Acupuncture system that unifies the modern understandings of neuroscience with the traditional practice of Acupuncture.
It is an evidence-based system which utilises and manipulates the body’s neurophysiological pathways and can be used in the treatment of pain conditions, orthopaedic conditions, and internal medicine. Neuropuncture is an extremely effective approach to modulating the nervous system. From targeting specific receptors for the release of specific neurohormones, in resetting dysfunctional visceral autonomic reflexes, to depolarizing excited overstimulated nerve roots for pain management. It combines the research of electrical acupuncture’s effects on specific neural receptors, while maintaining the holistic traditional TCM model.
At this 3-Day hands-on workshop, practitioners will learn the concepts, protocols and applications of Neuropuncture as developed and taught by Dr. Michael Corradino. Michael will introduce his revolutionary model by firstly explaining the mechanics of how acupuncture works within a neurophysiological framework. By understanding how acupuncture works within this framework, practitioners can then learn how to target and manipulate different neuropathways for specific therapeutic actions. The Neuropuncture system points and clinical protocols will be explored thoroughly and the applications of electro-acupuncture techniques will also be covered.
The goal of this workshop is to give the practitioner tools to understand and communicate effectively how acupuncture works, and how to utilise this information into a specific method for maximising reproducible clinical outcomes. Neuropuncture prepares the practitioner with evidenced-based neuroscience protocols that instill confidence in their effectiveness, and empowers the practitioner with the communication skills to explain what they are doing.
