SUMMARY:LIVE INTERACTIVE WEBINAR: Motor Point Acupuncture for Effective Treatment of Chronic Pain of the Upper Extremities with Rich Hazel and Dan Dominguez
DESCRIPTION:CAPACITY REACHED\nPlease Note: Numbers are strictly limited\nPRIVATE ZOOM LINK WILL BE SENT CLOSER TO THE DATE \nWEBINAR PROGRAM\nIntroduction to Chronic Pain of the Upper Extremities\nIn this webinar\, Rich and Dan will give you solid strategies that will work consistently for some of the toughest conditions to treat without acupuncture for overuse injuries in the upper extremity which can be some of the most chronic and debilitating injuries for people. This holds especially true for those who play sport or hold a job that requires repetitive movement that may cause strain injuries to the elbow\, wrist and fingers. Motor Point Acupuncture makes many of these issues melt away in very few sessions. \nFor many chronic issues people tend to seek more invasive treatments/surgical interventions for injuries that generally respond very well and often very quickly to motor point acupuncture. \nPatients feel the relief in minutes. \nWhen a joint or tendon in the elbow or wrist is causing pain it’s most likely due to muscle shortening in groups of muscles that flex or extend the wrist fingers or elbow. Unlike most injuries\, the forearm can be assessed based on palpation\, symptoms and an understanding of the actions and anatomy of the muscles which will be covered in this webinar. \nDan will be demonstrating some Neurofunctional approaches that stimulate the musculocutaneous nerve or the radial nerve septum using the pointer plus for certain conditions. Making sure you develop the skills and knowledge to nail Motor Point treatment consistently and reliably time after time again for this focus area\, so that patients will feel comfortable and confident sharing their results with colleagues and strangers to refer to your practice\, \nPeople of all ages can get these repetitive stress injuries from students to those who work long hours at a desk to tradesmen\, and the symptoms\, anatomy\, palpation and explanation of the following injuries (below) will be covered by Rich and Dan through theory and demonstration of needling technique. \nThe following dysfunctions will be covered:  \n\nTennis elbow\nGolfers elbow\nTriceps for the tennis and golfers\nOlecranon pain or bursitis\nBiceps tendonitis or injury coracobrachialis\nMusculocutaneous nerve (Neurofunctional)\nDe quervains tenosynovitis\nTrigger finger strategy\nCubital tunnel\nCarpal tunnel\nRadial nerve septum (Neurofunctional)\nTexters thumb\nTFCC tear\n\nIf you struggle with treating any or all of these issues\, join us. This is a MUST SEE WEBINAR! \nIn their usual style\, Rich and Dan never hold back on any tips or tricks that they have learnt over their years in clinical practice. They want you to be successful so more people will value acupuncture as the first line approach for most musculoskeletal issues. \n \n \n  \nVideo Demonstrations Included within:\nElectric Stimulation Protocols\nFrequency and tx times \nDetails\nDate: Sunday\, 14th of November 2021\nTime: 10am – 1.15pm\nCPD: 3 CPD points\nVENUE: LIVE ONLINE COURSE- ZOOM LINK WILL BE PROVIDED CLOSER TO THE DATE \nEarly Bird Pricing– $199 (Ends 01/11/2021)\nNormal Pricing: $210 \nThis is a live webinar conducted via the ZOOM VIDEO CONFERENCING Platform. \nDisclaimer before registering for the Live Webinar\nPlease check the relevant date/time zone to your location in accordance with the date and time provided above. SUMMARY:Essentials for Auriculotherapy and Auricular Medicine with Im Quah-Smith
DESCRIPTION:EVENT AT CAPACITY\nAuricular medicine is a stand-alone treatment accessing the brain via cranial nerves to restore functionality. It is sometimes referred to simplistically as ear acupuncture. Auricular medicine accesses brain connectivity via the cranial nerves using the ear (auricle). This therapy can support individuals suffering postural problems\, anxiety\, headache\, depression\, ADHD and functional learning delay. It plays an excellent supporting role in the management of complex pain\, and during chemotherapy and IVF treatments. \nAuriculotherapy is based on proven correspondences between locations on the external ear and the internal organs and systems of the body. The ear acts like an input/output terminal in direct contact with the central nervous system. Information on viscerosomatic states can be accessed via visual clues\, skin electro-conductivity\, and pressure sensitivity at specific points. \nDr Paul Nogier’s Auriculotherapy shows how acupuncture needles are used in sophisticated and powerful therapeutic interventions. \nDr Im Quah-Smith trained under Dr Rapahel Nogier and will teach the principles and practice auriculomedicine\, a true frequency medicine that evolved from Dr. Paul Nogier’s auriculotherapy\, his discovery of the VAS (Vascular Autonomic Signal) in the pulse and his consequent observations of the diagnostic and therapeutic properties of radiant light frequencies on the skin. Auriculotherapy is sometimes referred to as “Battlefield Acupuncture” for its immediate effectiveness as a first-line therapy. \nSeminar Program\n\nIntroduction\nMusculoskeletal Map\nInternal Organs Map\nBrain and Nervous System Map\nLocation of Active Sites\n\n– LUNCH BREAK – \n\nMusculoskeletal System (Back\, Upper Limbs\, Lower Limbs)\nInternal Organs (Liver\, Kidney)\nBrain (Stress\, Anxiety\, Depression)\n\nDetails\nDATE: 21st November 2021 \nTIME: 9:30am – 5:30pm \n7 CPD points \nVENUE: The Royal Squadron Yacht Club\, 33 Peel St\, Kirribilli\, NSW 2061 \nPRICING: \n\nPractitioner – $395\nStudent (Undergraduate) – $295\n\nAbout Im\nDr. Im Quah-Smith is a medical practitioner and independent medical researcher with a focus on optimal wellbeing. Im developed her interest in mind-body medicine during her many years in general practice where she observed the effects of environmental stressors on physical symptomatology in patients. \nDr. Quah-Smith specialises in medical acupuncture and is a Fellow of the Australian Medical Acupuncture College (AMAC). Further acupuncture studies were undertaken in Lyon\, France at GLEM\, the home of modern ear acupuncture\, under Dr. Raphael Nogier. She holds a Masters degree in Family Medicine. \nDr.Quah-Smith participates in international medical research with well-respected leaders in TCM and acupuncture\, neuroscience\, psychiatry\, primary health care and paediatrics. She is a Conjoint Lecturer with Women’s and Children’s Health\, UNSW Medicine at the University of NSW where she is involved in research into alleviating pain and trauma in infants in the neonatal intensive care unit. \nDr. Quah-Smith presided over the 9th International Symposium on Auriculotherapy in Singapore in 2017. The incredible clinical and scientific research projects showcased the possibilities for improved health outcomes globally. \nDr Quah-Smith is strong advocate for preventative medicine & mind-body medicine in patient well-being \nEVENT AT CAPACITY
