SUMMARY:Acupuncture Point Combinations to treat Mental and Emotional Disorders A Practical Workshop with David Hartmann
DESCRIPTION:Register Now\nCourse Outline\nFrom experience\, when a Chinese medicine practitioner searches for content on how to treat complicated mental and emotional disorders\, two key things occur. The first\, is that there is a significant lack of content; the second\, is that the content available is too foundational. Let me ask you a question here: how many patients have you seen in your clinic present with anger as their main complaint? Or grief\, fear or joy? In fact\, how often do you see any of the seven main emotions as primary patient complaints? I have been in practice since 1993 and treating mental health is my special interest (can’t say speciality 😉)\, and I rarely see patients that present with one of the seven main emotions as their primary complaint. Our patient’s mental health is usually quite complicated\, therefore you need to think ‘outside the box’ when constructing acupuncture point combinations. \nIn this workshop we will analyse and discuss acupuncture point combinations for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)\, self-esteem issues\, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)\, phobias\, panic attacks\, hypervigilance\, addictions\, and even sympathy/empathy. \nThese acupuncture point combinations will come from a range of different Chinese medicine systems\, including\, but not limited to\, Zàng Fǔ Patterns\, Five Elements\, Five Spirits or Eight Extraordinary Vessels. So\, if you want a course that gives you content that is almost impossible to find\, especially for the disorders discussed\, look no further. I am super excited to share my knowledge\, clinical experience and my favourite acupuncture point combinations for the different mental and emotional disorders. \nSo\, what will you learn?\nIn this two-day workshop you will be taken through a range of different acupuncture point combinations to treat mental and emotional disorders. The goal being that you are provided with additional treatment options to consider for your patients. More tools for the toolbox as it were. Tools you can apply in clinic immediately! \nSee below for a larger snapshot of each days acupuncture point combinations. \nCourse Overview\nSaturday 16th November 2024 \n\nSelf-Esteem Issues – Accessing the Heart Shén and Pericardium (Xīn Bāo).\nObsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD).\nSympathy/Empathy – including 100th Monkey Theory/Critical Mass/Collective Consciousness.\n\nSunday 17th November 2024 \n\nPhobias\, Panic Attacks\, Hypervigilance.\nPost-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).\nAddictions – Cigarettes/Nicotine\, Alcohol\, Opiates/Opioids\, Others.
